33 Weeks & A Hospital Visit

Pregnancy Highlights:

Size of baby: About the size of a pineapple. She weighs 4.2 lbs per the ultrasound today.

Total Weight Gain: No clue! Scared to step on the scales:)

Clothes: Mostly my comfy clothes/pjs when at home. Loving my full belly maternity jeans.

Gender: It's a Girl!!! Carly Kate

Movement: She's moving around alot! Packing a few punches every now and then! I think she's hiccuping every once in a while too.

Sleep: Peculiar, sometimes I sleep well & sometimes I lay wide awake.

Cravings: SWEETS! I'm having to cut that out now though and eat ALOT better!

Symptoms: Indigestion & Hot Flashes.

What I miss: Club sandwiches!!!

Best Moment this week: Feeling Carly move around alot.

The Hospital Visit

So, got a call from my Doctor on Saturday afternoon with test results and him diagnosing me with mild preeclampsia. Then he tells me to go to the hospital Sunday morning to be admitted.  Honestly, it sent me into freak out mode.  My blood pressure REALLY did shoot up because I had NO idea what to expect.

Josh and I were there at the hospital Sunday morning at 9AM and I was put in a room on bedrest. For the next 24 hours my vitals were checked every 4 hours.  They also did more blood and urine tests.  We also got to do another ultrasound to check on Carly and she is still doing great and they said she has a little bit of hair:). My blood pressure did great while I was there & my protein levels dropped ALOT, so obviously BEDREST helped, so thank you Lord, they sent me home to do it here. So, it's total couch and bed rest for me. I can get up to eat, bathe, and potty. But other than that, I'm not to do much. Can't go to work or drive a car.  I have 2 doc appointments a week now to monitor the baby and me.  AND it looks like Carly has a new due date.....it's 3/14(37 Weeks).  They will induce labor because preeclampsia is progressive.  So, 4 more weeks!!!  Thankfully, the Doc is allowing me to attend my baby showers and  just sit.  He said I couldn't be a Social Sally fluttering around, HA!  Thankful to be HOME, in MY bed, with my PuppyDog! 

Oh and Happy Valentines Day Everyone! Hope you got to spend it with the person you most Love!  Even though this has been an unusual day, I am so thankful for a husband that cares about me and loves me:) & already loves his daughter:o) Love him with ALL my heart!
