Today is the BIG 30th BIRTHDAY! I can't believe I am out of my 20's now, it's a little sad. I won't be depressed over this though:) I have so much to be thankful for.

Took the day off of work. Slept late! Josh took me to a pancake breakfast at Battle Branch. Spent the day being lazy with the Love of my Life! Had a nap. Then to what I thought was going to be dinner with family and friends at Kanpai. WRONG!!! Josh had planned a Surprise Party for me at his Mom and Dad's. How did he get to be so sneaky??? I HAD NO IDEA & usually NO ONE can get past me on things like that! I must be losing my touch! Had a great time eating BBQ and CAKE! Couldn't have asked for a better day! I am very blessed!

Praying for Dustin

Dustin is Josh's best friend and is having a heart valve replaced tomorrow, so major surgery & he will spend quite some time recovering.  Please pray for him that surgery goes great & he has a speady recovery.  Please also keep in your prayers, his wife, Megan.  She is such a sweetheart and will be taking care of him when he comes home.

My Josh

Warning: This is going to be a sappy post!

If I could sum him up in one two words, it would be Best Friend! But that just wouldn't do him justice. In a couple of months we are coming up on our first date, that was 6 years ago. From the moment I met him, well I was totally enamored by his gorgeousness and from that grew a great friendship which quickly turned into  L O V E!
I am so proud of the christian man he is. I love how he is the leader of our family, a hero(fireman) in so many peoples eyes and he would be to me even if he wasn't, he is dedicated to every facet of his life, & a hard worker.  He means the world to me and makes me feel so loved & secure.  Can't wait to see him with our baby, he's going to be the best daddy!
I mean it when I say I am living my fairytale, things may not always go as I planned, but as long as we have God and eachother, everything is going as it should.
I've always heard my elders say that they loved their spouses more today than the day they married them, but never could fathom that. I can see it now, because the more we live this life together, the more I fall in love with him.
I thank God everyday for him, our blessed life, and our growing family:)

The Mercedes

of Beds arrived today or to me at least it feels like it!  Our mattress was horrible and should have been tossed years ago. To say it is comfortable is an understatement, but it better be since we have a monthly payment on it!!!(Interest free, we aren't that crazy)  I'll be living on it for the next few months!  So, if you need me and can't find me, I'm probably snuggled up on it, napping.

Best Moment this week: Back had been hurting and decided it was our mattress. So we ordered a new mattress that comes tomorrow!

Autumn Leaves Festival

Today I went to the Autumn Leaves Festival in Mount Airy for the first time ever.  Pictured left to right: Melanie, Anna, Niki, Ashley, & Me.

Had a great time with the girls, but didn't buy a thing other than food.  What else is there to enjoy when you are pregnant? It was suprisingly warm, almost too warm.  It totally gave me out.  Had to come home for a nap.  It's frustrating not being able to go and do whatever I use to do with so much energy.  Josh and I decided the other night that some people were made for pregnancy and I AM NOT one of them:) (well except for these baby birthing hips I've always had...HA)  Don't get me WRONG when I say that, I am soooo happy to be pregnant and can't wait to meet the baby and well we don't PLAN on having an ONLY child.  Pregnancy hasn't been easy for me and people keep telling me it doesn't get easier.....SIGH!

My Fur Babies

 I wonder how things will change with my fur babies when the baby is here?  They are down right SPOILED ROTTEN! These two have went from tolerating each other to buddies. They will even lay beside of each other now.  I think they sense something....they seem to be stuck to me like glue lately.

Oakley

 This one, well, what can I say, he's such a HAM!  He is seriously the best dog I have ever met or loved:) I think he will do just fine when the baby arrives and we plan on giving him plenty of attention.  I think he will be great company to me when Josh is back at work at night and I am getting up with the baby. This Winter we plan on doing some extra training with him as he still can't contain his excitement when we have visitors over.  He loves his nap time, but come evening it's playtime with all of his toys and he parades around the house with them.  For some reason, when I'm the only one at home, he's a lot more subdued, but as soon as Josh gets home, he is wide open! 

Pebbles

I love how she follows me around and has to be in the same room as me, but the licking thing she has started, well that needs to stop.  Have you ever had a cat want to lick you?  Most of her days are spent in that very spot passed out in the cutest, oddest positions. She also has a play mouse that she chases around when we are not at home.....never seen her do it when we are here, WEIRD!  She acts so prissy sometimes!  I think she will be very curious when the baby is here, so we will have to keep an eye on her. 

14 Weeks

Hello 2nd Trimester!

Pregnancy Highlights:

Size of baby: Baby Burgess is the size of a Lemon

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost 6 lbs & have gained 2 lbs back

Clothes: Met with my cousin on Friday and she gave me a full wardrobe of maternity clothes....I am wearing one of the outfits in this pic.

Gender: Can't wait to find out Nov. 10th!

Movement: My baby bump is moving up.

Sleep: I love my afternoon naps.  If I don't get one, I'm totally exhausted in the evenings.

Cravings: Cheeseburgers with lots of pickles & French Fries never tasted so good!

Symptoms: The nausea is definately subsiding and only occurs a few times a day.

Best Moment this week: Getting a bunch of nice maternity clothes for free!
