At Wits' End

No, I didn't name him!  He was 5 years old when I adopted him from the Humane Society.  I'm pretty sure Hispanics owned him before....because of the name.  He used to be a whopping 20 lbs and has shrunk to 6-7 lbs.  He has a ton of health problems and we have him on lots of meds.  He has Hyper Thyroidism for one and something going on with his tummy that we think could be cancer.  Right after Thanksgiving we thought we were going to have to put him to sleep, because he was stumbling around pretty helpless.  Now he's on steroids and very perky.  YET, this is why I am at wits' end, he is STILL crapping in my floor.  I am a neat freak people, although you wouldn' think it now if you saw my house today, but this doesn't fit into my routine of cleaning.  He makes little diarrhea cow patties in the floor and in the beginning of this I felt sorry for him because he is sick, but I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!  UGH!  I want to put him in the garage, but get this, Josh told me I can't do that to him(he's a total inside kitty).  I'm sure this is pretty bad, but I've been praying lately for God to take him to kitty heaven. Honestly, the vet told me his prognosis isn't good and to just love him while I can.  I'm just totally frustrated!

The Hearth

It's coming along.  Josh and his Poppy have spent 2 days on it so far.  All that's left is the rock on the walls.  Sure would be nice if it was done on a weekend like this and the wood stove would be so cozy, to give the Heat Pump that won't die a chance to rest.  Hope ya'll enjoy the snow!  I'm pretty much done with the snow and ready for warm weather and Disney World:)

DISNEY WORLD

here we come!  Josh is just as excited as I am.  It's going to be a family vacay with Josh's family and his Mom's brother's family.  We are going the end of March and get to celebrate Jennifer(Sis in love) and Larry(Father in love) b'day's while we are there!  I've been floating around the house saying "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD"!!!  I am new to Disney World, so if you have any advice or must go places please send them my way:)

Ready for warm weather....

& cheaper electric bills.  I almost had heart failure yesterday when I opened up our electric bill.  It is more than a car payment and 3/4 of our house payment!  YES, it was that bad.  I calmed myself down by thinking this has GOT to be a mistake.  I decided this morning I would take the calm approach with Surry Yadkin Electric Company, in hopes that this may get me a wrong meter reading or a MIRACLE!  NOPE, didn't happen, I was advised that 19 days of extreme cold weather and a heat pump that can't compete with the below freezing temps caused the MONSTROUS bill and they would give me 15 extra days to pay it.  How nice of them:).................sigh! It makes me wonder how much our bill would've been if we didn't have these new energy efficient windows, doors, and a new thermostat, that I have kept at 68 degrees all winter, which by the way I did advise them of, and Josh complains of being cold and has resorted to wearing bedroom slippers all the time. **Side note, he even wore them to the store the other night, I just think that's hilarious(haha)**

So, it looks like we will be heating the house with wood as soon as Josh has the rock wall and platform finished for the wood stove.  He started prepping it last week and has accomplisted quite a bit.  I am VERY proud of him!  He's saving us half the cost of what it would have been to pay someone to do it and he said he is actually enjoying having a project like this.  His man cave will be complete when it's finished. 

It's All Good

The procedure was VERY uncomfortable, but lasted for only 5 minutes after waiting for an hour.  I got to see it all and my uterus and tubes are clear and look good.  My uterus was super cute, haha!  I'm cramping now, but that should go away by tomorrow.  Sooo, all that's left to do is have fun, get busy, quit stressing and PRAY!

Emotional

It's been one of those days.  It was baby dedication day at church and WOW it made me realize how much I desperately want to be a mother.  You never dream about having trouble getting pregnant, this wasn't part of our fairytale.  I know God has a plan, I talk to him about it all the time.  Trying to stay positive and hopeful that tomorrow will bring good news.

Tis Scheduled

All set up to go next Monday at 2 to have the HSG procedure done at Forsyth Hospital.  It's outpatient and the Dr. said I will have the results immediately.  I pray everything is normal in there.:) 

Wishful Thinking

We'll DEF be having that HSG procedure now. I'll have to call to schedule it tomorrow.  Lucy is in for the visit, it was a bad morning that demanded lots of Ibuprofen.  We didn't make it to church although we totally planned on going.  Will keep you posted.

Womb Watch Chronicles

..........Maybe I should rename my blog that....nah.  Anyway, went to the OBGYN today and as soon as I have my next cycle we can have the HSG procedure done immediately after it.  I had another option to take some fertility drugs but opted to not go that route at this point.  The Dr. I saw today was so nice and said, "Let's hope you don't have to do the procedure and get pregnant this month."  Wouldn't that be great!

I wish everyone a Happy New Year!  Mine started off with a cold:(.  These aren't necessarily New Years resolutions....I just need to get back to eating better and exercising.  This holiday weight has got to come off!
