31 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

Size of baby: About the weight 4 navel oranges.

Total Weight Gain: Gained 20 lbs.

Clothes: Mostly my comfy clothes/pjs when at home. Loving my full belly maternity jeans.

Gender: It's a Girl!!! Carly Kate

Movement: She's moving around alot! Packing a few punches every now and then!

Sleep: Peculiar, sometimes I sleep well & sometimes I lay wide awake.

Cravings: WOW has my appetite increased lately! Bring on the ice cream!

Symptoms: Indigestion & Hot Flashes. My swelling has got a lot better with my healthier eating & no cramps since I started mixing bananas in my smoothies.

What I miss: Club sandwiches!!!

Best Moment this week: Josh getting in Daddy mode, I think he may be nesting some too;o)

What the Doctor Ordered

I had my 30 week appointment today:) Now I will go every 2 weeks and then at 35 weeks I go every week.  It's getting CLOSE!!!  My blood pressure is border line high, so more Walking for me.  I wasn't doing as well with getting on the treadmill as I wanted, call it laziness, but now it's a MUST! I have been eating healthier and that has helped with my swelling.  Also, the Doctor only wants me to gain 10 more pounds.  Don't they know how hungry I am these days?  Also, at our last ultrasound Carly was breech, they think she is now head down, BUT they said she could flip several times from now until birth. Time is really starting to fly by! When we first got pregnant, it felt so far away and now it's going to be here in no time!

Because All I Can Think About is Food

In an effort to ward off high blood pressure & eat healthier since my appetite is increasing like a Monster, I am trying out some new things.

This morning was a success!  A fruit smoothie, that was delicous!

One banana, a handful of strawberries, a splash of Orange Juice & some ice.  Blend it all together in a blender and wah-la, a homemade fruite smoothie that tastes like it's from The Juice Shop:)

Tonight I had a solo dinner

Tilapia(I can only have fish once a week, but read it's great for the babies brain development)

Squash & Zuchinni sauteed in EVOO & veggie pasta.

30 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: Gained 20 lbs.-not sure I am going to share this anymore, HA!

Clothes: Mostly my comfy clothes/pjs when at home. Just bought the full belly maternity jeans which I thought I would hate but totally LOVE!

Best Moment this week: Hearing the SWEET SWEET words from the Doctor that our baby girl's brain is normal!

Ultrasound #5

Everything is Normal! The Doctor said that her brain ventricles have fixed themselves(we know it was God's hands) & we are released from having anymore ultrasounds if that is what we wanted or he could put in for one more so insurance will pay. Tears of happiness!!!!  So, we opted to have one more....we are so used to seeing her every month now:)

She's so precious!  She weighed in at 3 lbs. & we believe she has Josh's nose.

SPOTLESS

Where have I been and what have I been doing for the past 2 weeks?   Well, Spring cleaning started here already! Every room in this house has been cleaned from TOP to BOTTOM.  Bring your white gloves:)  I think I did all this in the nick of time, because lately I tire easily & the longer I am on my feet the more they swell.  I still have a list of things to do but it's totally manageable & mostly for Josh, HA! 

29 Weeks

Cravings: Not picky, just show me the food:) When I'm hungry, I'm REALLY hungry!

Best Moment this week: The crib and dresser/changing table are all put together. The nursery is slowly coming together and I love it! I just go in there and sit in the rocker to take it all in:)

All the Things a Baby Needs

I went and registered today at Babies R Us and Bed Bath & Beyond.  My Mom went with me and I'm thankful because I'm not sure that Josh could've been as patient.  He thinks Carly should come home in a Onesie(AS IF)!!!  I had my list ready of things, I knew we would need, but WOW was it overwhelming once you get in the store and see ALL the things a baby needs or can use.  I learned A LOT though and feeling pretty confident about most of my mothering abilities, but still have LOTS of questions about breast feeding.  I think the more I read about it, the more I mentally prepare myself for it....just hoping it goes well:) 

Happy New Year 2011!

WOW, it's 1/1/11!

Josh and I rang in the New Year sleeping:)!  We just couldn't make it til 12, we were both exhausted...but we did go over to Dustin and Meg's for her birthday dinner.  Happy 26th Megan! 

 Lots of exciting things happening this year with ALL of our family. Praying for a great year for everyone!

Now that it is January, I really hope to get Josh motivated into putting baby furniture together so I can get Carly's room decorated & organized!  Then, I am going crazy cleaning this house:)  3 more months....time is starting to fly by.  I have no resolutions for this year, because my main focus is going to be on our little girl!  I just want to slow down and take it all in and treasure every minute of it.  We've waited for her for 3 years, but it was all in God's time and I have definately learned this past year that HE is in CONTROL!!!
